About The Library

Library is the nerve center of any educational institution. It is a source of learning for higher education and expansion of knowledge. It is an essential pre-requisite for successful implementation of quality higher education programs in colleges.
Chopra College Central Library was set up few years later the inception of the college keeping in mind the views of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, the Father of Library Science in India. The main objective of the library is to disseminate to the students, teaching and non-teaching staff of this college. It is situated in the first floor of the West Block of the college. The Central Library is housed in a room consisting of Circulation Desk, Stack Section, and Reading Section for students & faculty members with setting accommodation for 30 readers at a time. The stock of both text and reference books in the library has undergone considerable expansion and an exhaustive collection of more than 3,500 books adequately meet the varied requirement of all students and teachers. The users are mostly students of our college studying UG Courses in arts disciplines and teaching & non-teaching staff members of the institution.
Library software KOHA has already been introduced. Full computerization of the library will be done very soon. The whole library is under surveillance by CCTV.
