Some of its best practices that have been implemented over the years:
Kanyashree Prakalpa: Kanyashree is an initiative taken by the government of West Bengal to improve the life and the status of the girls by providing economical aid to backward families to ensure that girls are not married off before eighteen years of age. Chopra Kamala Paul Smriti Mahavidyalaya , by complying with the norms with government schemes have ensured improvemet in the status and well-being of girls, specifically those from socio-economically disadvantaged families.
Cleanliness Programme: A clean environment within the college premises sets a good example for the students. It encourages students to take pride in their college, which makes them act more responsibly and less likely to drop litter. The NSS team of Chopra Kamala Paul Smriti Mahavidyalaya, at regular intervals, undertake cleaning assignments. Also, planting of trees on and off the campus is encouraged amongst the students. This constant effort of our college has helped to inculcate a sense of responsibility in young minds along with love for nature.
Library Refurbishing: An academic library is very crucial to the innate structure of an educational institution. It fulfils the educational needs of students, both those arising directly from the curriculum and those of a more general nature. Also, it supports the faculty to obtain up-to-date material required for their teaching purpose. Chopra Kamala Paul Smriti Mahavidyalaya, with its limited fund, has tried to upgrade the library by means of adequate supply of journals/magazines, access to electronic resources and separate reading space for both students and teachers.
