In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) and the objectives of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Chopra Kamala Paul Smriti Mahavidyalaya
departments, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), are committed to fostering holistic youth development through enhanced skill development and increasing the Gross Enrollment Ratio. Chopra Kamala Paul Smriti Mahavidyalaya
has implemented a variety of skill development activities aimed at enriching both knowledge and soft skills among students. These initiatives include:
- Spot Reading and Language Skills Grooming: Designed to improve communicative abilities.
- Debate Competitions and Speech Completion Sessions: Intended to cultivate critical thinking and enhance public speaking skills.
- Career Counseling: Helping students effectively integrate acquired skills into their resumes. The institution offers life skills courses such as yoga and photography, accessible to all students, broadening job market opportunities and boosting employability.
- Entrepreneurship and Internship Programs: Providing hands-on experience.
- Experiential Learning: Through certificate programs, add-on courses, and fieldwork.
- Career Services: Workshops, training camps, and seminars focused on professionalism and skill acquisition.
Under the guidance of IQAC, the Career Counseling and Placement Cell has organized week-long skill development programs in collaboration with local organizations, offering students practical exposure. Partnerships with businesses and skill-oriented organizations are integral to this initiative. Mentoring sessions are also conducted to guide students in developing various skills crucial for enhancing employability. Chopra Kamala Paul Smriti Mahavidyalaya
collaborates with reputable academic and business entities such as RICE, Bandhan Bank, and SBI Bank to promote a proactive approach to skill development. Physical activities like gymnasium and yoga contribute to students’ mental strength, overall health, and positive outlook. The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) has established an Incubation Centre, providing hands-on training and organizing sessions to nurture entrepreneurial skills among students.
