The Department of Philosophy of Chopra Kamala Paul Smriti Mahavidyalaya was established in 2013 as a general course, and honours course was established in 2020 . Presently the Department has two faculty members, 1(one) Sanctioned faculty member and 01(one) West Bengal State Aided College Teachers. It offers B.A Pass/General (1+1+1 System)in 2013 and B.A Honours & Program(CBCS System) in 2020 in Philosophy and now offered B.A. Honours: in Year 2023 its offers Major/Minor/Multidiciplenary (NEP/FYUGP System). To introduce students to critically engage with the works of great philosophers, both historical and contemporary. To guide students in understanding the relevance of philosophical inquiry in their personal and academic lives. Our goals to encourage students to explore philosophical questions about self, others, the universe, and their connection to ultimate transcendence, such as God and immortality.
